Queue Name Filter
Overview
Use filters to limit the queues returned to focus your view on a specific task. For our example we will be creating a new filter to connect to our Returns correspondence queue. To shared filters that others have created, copy the file from their <Documents>\andi\queueMgrConnections.queueNameFilters.qco file. To get started, click on the Connect button which will open with the Queue Name Filter Editor.
You will be able to:
Open - Open an existing filter
New - Create a new filter
Delete - Delete an existing filter
Create a new Filter
After clicking New, you will be presented with the QNF editor. Enter a unique Group Name that will be used as a key for the QueueNameFilters.qco file. Use the Add Pattern, Delete Pattern to add patterns and then click Save to save the patterns.
Click the Test button to run the filters against the currently selected Queue Cluster and display the resulting queues. This lets you tune the filter(s) so that they will return only the expected queues. Click the Save button to save the final filters.
The below example shows a few sample patterns, wildcard allows you to select both Returns and BKO.Returns by specifying *Return. If there are other queues that would match you can limit by specifically adding the actual queue names instead.
