Custom Chart Themes
Overview
Custom chart themes allow users to quickly create custom themes for viewing charts in the Chart Viewer. Andi by default comes with the Andi.chartTheme, which can be used with all of your charts. If there is a need to create charts with specific color themes, this can be done by opening Application Preferences by clicking the Preferences->Application menu and then clicking select Charting as shown below.
Creating a Theme
Make sure the desired template theme is listed in the Chart Theme text field and has already been applied - then click the Create Theme button. When you are done making Font, UI Colors, and Value Color changes, click the Save button. Then, enter the name of the new theme and click the Save button. Once the new theme button is displayed by Chart Theme in the Charting preferences, click Apply to make the theme the default.
Chart Theme Creator
Fonts
The Fonts tab allows you to change the fonts that will be displayed in the Chart Viewer.
UI colors
Allows changing Chart Viewer dialog colors, not the colors representing the data values.
Value Colors
This tab allows you to edit all of the colors that will be used when displaying charts. When creating a chart view, the colors are used from top to bottom as displayed below. You aren't required to provide unique colors for each displayed band, but if you decide some will never be used, you may want to set the color to black to remind you later.
Two different editors are provided to change colors, one at a time. To begin editing, select a color listed in the Value Colors tab. Then click the Choose Color button or the RGB editor button.
The color editor provides multiple editors to assist in picking a color. Once you have found or created a color, click OK to change the value color or click Cancel to close without saving changes.
The RGB Editor is easy to use - just slide the Red, Green and Blue sliders until you are happy with the color. Now press the Save button to save the changes, or click Close to close without saving.
Apply an Existing Theme
To apply a pre-created theme, click the Find button on the Charting Preferences panel. Select the theme and then click the Open button.
