Overview
This article has been created to help new Andi users understand the basics of navigating Andi's user friendly interface. Links can be found throughout this article to navigate to additional Help Center content for more detailed information.
Navigation Overview
Select any of the following to learn more about navigating the user interface of Andi:
Menu Options
File Menu
The File Menu includes options to create a new Connection (using the step-by-step wizard), open saved SQL stored in a file, and exit out of Andi completely:
Edit Menu
The Edit Menu provides options for editing SQL within the currently selected / viewed Query Panel:
Filter Menu
The Filter Menu can be used in conjunction with the Filter Editor Tab and the Result Set Filter. To learn more details about using the Filter Editor and the associated Filter Menu options, check out the article Filtering Query Results.
Tools Menu
The Tools Menu includes the most essential and unique tools that Andi has to offer! It includes Custom Queries, Statement History, Dynamic Database Explorer, Database Explorer, Dynamic SQL Explorer, Dynamic SQL Visualizer, Interactive Scripting Editor, and the Queue Explorer:
Preferences Menu
The Preferences Menu provides Application Preferences to customize options like data formatting, how often to auto-save the Andi application, and more:
Andi Menu
The Andi Menu provides access to Activate a License, Manage Features... using the Feature Manager, and the ability to Check For Updates:
Note: The Feature Manager is used to access additional paid features of Andi that require a unique License activation. For more information on pricing for these additional features available, contact the Andi Sales team by submitting a Support Ticket.
Help Menu
The Help Menu provides access to important information for when questions arise (like Getting Started, and Visit the Help Center). It also provides direct access to create a Support Ticket if a user cannot find answers to a question or want to submit a Product Suggestion:
Query Editor
General Overview
The Query Editor has the ability to quickly switch between Schemas, create and modify SQL statements, build SQL statements for you on the fly, and more! Options are available to Run a Query, use the unique Quick Run option to dynamically build and run SQL statements, quickly Export data, and to reconnect:

Icons
The Icons that appear for selection in the upper right corner of the Query Editor provides access to the Dynamic SQL Creator and the Dynamic SQL Visualizer, as well as options to Create a new Query Editor (multiple connections), or close out of the existing Query Editor.
Query Results
The Query Results displays the data results from your Queries that are Run from the Query Editor. For more information on how to use the Query Results and it's unique features, check out the article Running a Query.
Tabs
There are several tabs beneath the Query Editor that can be used to access related features or options. This includes the Filter Editor, Formatters, Connection Options, and the Schema Browser.
